Sources and licenses

The code is MIT-licensed and the lessons are CC BY 4.0. Northstar Parcel, its people, and its systems are made up; any resemblance to a real carrier is a coincidence.

Design

The interface is built with Primer CSS andOcticons, GitHub's open-source design system, both MIT-licensed. OpsQuest is not affiliated with GitHub.

Mascot

Patch is the unmodified OpenMoji raccoon by Laura Schießer, licensedCC BY-SA 4.0(original,license).

Books and other platforms

Each lab and theory note points to the book chapters that cover its topic; theLibrary lists them all. We summarise, we never copy. The lab format owes a lot to hands-on platforms such as SadServers, OverTheWire, and Killercoda: a broken machine, a short brief, and a check you can read. OpsQuest is not affiliated with any of them.

Where labs run

Every lab runs on a disposable container started for one learner, never on the web server. The downloadable kits run the same setup and checker on your own Linux machine.
